SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary/Secondary School - East London - £95-£115 per day (April - September Contract)

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in East London from Easter through to September. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured and inclusive environment.

The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop confidence, and make progress both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
  • Support pupils with engagement, emotional regulation, and behaviour
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning plans
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and support staff
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
