Job description

Job Summary

A special educational needs (SEN) teacher is required to work with children and young people to help them to reach their full educational potential within this specialist SEN school.

The school is looking to appoint a SEN Teacher to join their small but highly effective and successful teacher team. Experienced teachers and NQT's will be considered.

Previous experience with SEN is preferred, but teachers who lack experience but have a real passion for this area are also encouraged to apply. The school provides effective specialist education and support to pupils and to their families, enabling pupils to achieve their full potential in education and in life outside school. Their purpose is to break down the barriers to learning that our students encounter and to help them to equip themselves for as independent a life as possible outside of school.

The school forms an approach based on various child-centred strategies and techniques, with a clear focus on improving communication and interaction skills through positive interventions.

For more information please apply, or contact Carly Walters at Remedy Education. We also have SEN teaching roles in Greenwich, Lewisham, Lambeth and Southwark.

Remedy Education works in line with the Department for Education guidelines and thoroughly checks all candidates prior to placement. Teachers are asked to provide their current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and complete a new check through Heart Teaching before commencing a role. Candidates who are signed up to the update service will be asked to provide their DBS details.

Remedy Education is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
