Job description

An experienced primary teacher is required for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Croydon.

This PRU specialises in catering for who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school and as such many of the pupils have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEMH). Every class has TA support and some pupils will have additional 1:1 TA's.

This school offers academic and vocational avenues to their students with the aim of integration, and as such, an experienced teacher who has worked in a similar setting would be extremely useful. As part of this role you would also be expected to liaise closely with parents and guardians.

This role requires a firm but fair role model to appropriately deal with the challenging behaviour you will encounter on a daily basis, be it in a 1:1 or group setting. If you are an experienced SEMH teacher and have the resilience to deal with the challenges you will face, apply today, we would love to hear from you.
