My client, an ASD school for children aged 11 to 16 in Bromley are looking to recruit an SEN teacher of on either a fixed term contract , permanent or supply basis. The role is to start on Monday 16th April 2016.

The Role:

SEN teacher

Full time, Long term

Teaching class of between 2 and 8 children who have been excluded from mainstream education.

The majority of children have some form of social, emotional and behavioural additional learning need.

Many also struggle with disrupted home lives.

The School:

11 to 16 ASD school

Small school with excellent support from senior leaders and SEN subject specialist

A thriving SEN provision dedicated to improving the lives of its pupils

Abundant support from SEN teaching assistants and learning mentors.

Easily accessible by car

Free parking

Easily accessible by train and bus

The perfect Candidate:

Experience teaching GCSE English (preferably AQA syllabus)

Experience teaching children with emotional behavioural needs

Experience of teaching in a specialist SEN school, unit or provision

Must be able to plan effective lessons to engage pupils

Positive behaviour management strategies

Experience of using Team Teach or Price strategies would be advantageous.

Both NQT's and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
