Remedy Education are currently looking for a SEN Teacher for a lovely school in Waltham Forest. The schools range from alternative provisions, to specialist schools catering for children with a variety of needs ranging from PMLD and ASC to SEMH needs. You will be expected to work with a variety of ability and age levels.

Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a correct DBS certificate. Remedy Education can support your application should this be required.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality and be able to work to their own initiative in regard to ensuring that health and safety procedures are met, and the welfare of the children cared for. You will ideally have experience of working in an SEN setting, but applications will be judge on individual basis. Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and team teach/ moving and handling training is desirable, but not essential. The school can provide training for this.
