Job description

I am currently seeking an experienced SEN Teacher who will require PMLD specific teaching strategies and a nurturing approach to behaviour management. The school is situated in Southwark and the role is to start January 2018.

This is a long term post so commitment is key

Key Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status, QTS, desirable
* SEN Teacher
* Ability to teach Key Stage 3 Curriculum
* PMLD experience
* Team-teach trained, desirable
* Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills
* A genuine passion for education.
* A non-judgmental and empathic approach
* Current DBS
* Be available to interview immediately

Teacher Specification:

The successful SEN Teacher will be excellent classroom teachers with a commitment to fulfilling the needs of pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional or learning difficulties, and social communication difficulties. You will have the desire to create a culture of learning, where children are happy, enthusiastic, motivated and ambitious. Ensuring that the classroom is a positive and stimulating learning environment.

About the Teaching Role:

In this SEN Teacher position, you will be working with challenging behaviour and therefore be strong and adaptable with your teaching approach. Delivering the Key stage 3 Curriculum to classes of about 8 students. Reconnecting them with education so they can make progress in becoming successful adults.
