The Special Needs Department at Remedy Education are currently looking for a SEND TA / SEND Specialist Support Assistant / LSA for a prestigious special school in the London borough of Southwark.

This school caters for students with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), complex needs and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). The majority of students are non-verbal and with such a wide range of learning difficulties, and students are supported by a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists and speech and language therapists.

This position will be to start on a full-time long-term basis starting ASAP for the rest of the academic year.

Many students communicate non-verbally, so being able to use PECs and Makaton will be ideal.

Some students have challenging behaviour and you will be ideally Team Teach trained. Personal Care (feeding and toileting) is required and you will assess individual learning needs and work on a group basis.
