SEMH Teaching Assistant - Enfield, North London - SEN School

Remedy are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will be able to support students with SEMH, in a school in North London.

The roles vary from 1:1 assistant, general classroom mentor. The students at this school do have challenging behaviour and need support with their learning and behaviour.

The ideal candidate needs to have great behaviour management and communication skills.

You will be working in the small SEMH department supporting 8-10 pupils in KS3 and KS4

Before applying for this role you would need to have experience in supporting SEN students and a background of working a with SEMH would be favourable. Also you will need to be able to deal with very challenging behaviour.

You will need the below:

- A current and clear DBS

- Previous experience dealing in schools as a LSA/TA or Learning Mentor, and dealing with challenging behaviour

- Team Teach / restraint trained beneficial
