SEN School, ASD & PMLD - Teaching Assistant

I am recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work full time at a SEN school based in Greenwich, South East London, with the ability to manage very challenging and extreme behaviour students.

The school caters for pupils who have been excluded from mainstream schooling due to social and emotional mental health difficulties and offers positive outcomes to young people of school age who have disengaged, or are at the point of disengaging with education

Key skills and experience needed:

• Experience working in specialist schools such as SEN schools or Pupil Referral Units
• Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
• Strong behaviour management and confident with challenging behaviour
• SEN experience is essential
• One to one and small group work
• Team Teach or equivalent would be ideal
