Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant, TA, Youth Worker or Learning Mentor?

The School

An Alternative Provision Centre in Bromley, South London are looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to start September 2019. This is a long term, full time position working with primary aged learners with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD).

The school itself is modern, bright and has excellent facilities. There is no on site parking and due to the schools location public transport is the best option for employees as the school is less than 5 minutes from one of the busiest stations in London with exceptional links to Central, North, North East, South, South West and West London

The SEMH Teaching Assistant Applicant

They are looking for a number of passionate and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant who have the training and a good understanding of the young people's needs. The school specialises in Emotional and Social Behavioural Difficulties and has a Primary and Secondary department. You will be working in a primary class of 7 pupils alongside a teacher and another TA supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis boosting their self esteem, their motivation and learning.

Academic progress is at the forefront of their remit so they want staff who will push to improve results and get students through their SATs. The SLT expect high standards in terms of behaviour, school uniform etc. T hey expect staff to present themselves in a professional manner in terms of dress, speech etc. The SLT is very strong and they invest in their staff in terms of training, support and face to face time.
