We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic and suitably qualified Teaching Assistants, with a specialism or interest in supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs, who share our ethos of putting children at the heart of all that we do.

An opportunity has arisen for great teaching assistants to join us supporting SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental health) provision.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with and an understanding of the needs of children with SEMH needs (including when this presents as challenging behaviour) to be successful in school, who puts the children at the centre of all that they do.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Understands the importance of positive relationships
  • Builds highly effective relationships with ALL children
  • Understands that behaviour always communicates a meaning and be able to take a pro active approach to positive behaviour management.
  • Understands how to effectively manage and de-escalate behaviour
  • Be relentlessly positive, optimistic and passionate!

  • Is committed to the safeguarding and well being of children

Applicants must have:

  • Previous experience of working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
  • English and Maths to GCSE level C or above
