Job description

SEMH primary teaching Assistants

Full-time or part-time - Flexible days

As demand increases, we are looking for more SEND teaching assistants to join our supply bank. You can work as much or as little as you like, tell us when you are available and we will find you placements that suit you.

The roles vary from 1:1 Assistant, general classroom assistant and Nursery assistant or higher level. You will get to see lots of different schools which is a great opportunity to find one that you love, which could potentially turn in to something more longer term.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • The ability to build good working relationships with the children
  • Relevant experience of working with SEN children between 4-11 years old
  • Good organisational skills
  • Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus with strong classroom management and on-going 1:1 support where necessary
  • Level 2 or above Teaching assistant qualification preferred but not essential
