  • SEMH Teaching Assistant
  • £70 - £85 per day
  • All through SEMH School
  • Full time position, Monday to Friday
  • To Start after February 2021 Half Term
  • Location: Greenwich

Are you looking to work at a school where Nurturing Relationships are at the heart of the work you do? I am looking for SEMH Teaching Assistants who understand how to work with vulnerable youth, many of whom have never experienced a positive, nurturing relationship in their lives before.

This Greenwich based school is a specialist provision for pupils aged 7-16 with social, emotional, mental health needs (SEMH). The school works hard to establish a fresh start for pupils who are referred here. The SEMH Teaching Assistant will play a vital role in providing personalised learning, building rapport and creating a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment.

The school opened in 2017 and the SEMH Teaching Assistant will be working in modern facilities, well equipped to meet learners' needs. The school is part of a large Trust and can provide staff with fantastic education and training opportunities.

The SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Will have a nurturing nature and strong ability to build rapport
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills and ability to differentiate lessons to learners needs
  • Has education and training relevant to working with SEMH pupils
  • Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Positive attitude and resilient nature
