A highly regarded South East London Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) has an exciting new position available for a passionate, dedicated Class Teacher. If you are a passionate SEN/SEMH Class Teacher who is able engage with small groups of students who present with a range of Social, Emotional, Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD) or with social Emotional Mental Health Issue (SEMH) then this is role will be a rewarding challenge for you.

This highly regarded PRU has substantial experience in successful behaviour management and flexible education of pupils between 4-19 with significant emotional and behavioural issues. In most cases pupils have a statement of Special Educational Needs and have comprehensive care plans in place. About the Role

As the successful SEN/SEMH Class Teacher you will be supported by a full-time, experienced, graduate teaching assistants who share your passion for teaching and learning. In this exciting role you will be teaching up to Key Stage 4, taking on GCSE classes and working towards positive GCSE results. In this SEN/SEMH Science Teacher position, you will be joining an innovative Science Department and you will be an avid supporter of a holistic teaching approach.

Person Specification

The school wants a SEN/SEMH Class Teacher who will have the skills to overcome stressful and challenging situations on a daily basis and show you can think on your feet and adapt. This role requires a resilient SEN/SEMH Science Teacher who has worked in an environment with a high number of SEMH/SEBD pupils previously and 2 years' teaching experience.
