Job description
Are you an experienced teaching assistant, with experience catering with pupils with SEND? Or, do you have extensive mainstream experience, with a particularly keen interest in working in SEND?
Remedy Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive teaching assistant to work in a secondary school in Lewisham, which caters for pupils with challenging behaviour and complex needs.. Class sizes are small (no more than 6 - 8 pupils per class) to provide individualised and focused attention, and support provided throughout the school is excellent. The school caters for pupils from the age of 5 - 16, however this role will mostly involve working with pupils whom are secondary-aged.
For this role, ideally you will:

For this role, ideally you will:
- Be available 5 days a week.
- Possess an up-to-date DBS, or be willing to acquire one through Remedy Education.
- Have previous experience catering for pupils with a range of SEND requirements, including; SEMH/ASD/complex
Be able to differentiate lesson plans, and teaching instructional strategies, to engage all learners.
Be able to use positive reinforcement when supporting pupils with behavioural difficulties - working with pupils with
ADHD this would be an advantage.
