Job description

Remedy are currently seeking a Secondary Teaching Assistant based in Gravesend, Kent. The ideal candidates will possess strong classroom/behaviour management skills, an engaging and encouraging approach and a nurturing manner.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will have a passion for working with young people you will provide support to the class teacher within the secondary school.

Duties include:

  • Providing day to day classroom support to the children and assisting with pupil behaviour
  • Establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs
  • Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • Helping to plan lessons by preparing materials and resources

Teaching Assistant Specification:
The successful Teaching Assistants will have experience supporting challenging behaviour and/or other complex needs, have strong classroom and behaviour management and available to start immediately. You will be resilient, show initiative and believe you have the potential to deliver outstanding outcomes.
