The role / responsibilities will be the following:

·Opening and closing of the Secondary School buildings and grounds

·Contribute to security procedures and surveillance

·Part of call out team during weekends and school holidays

·Carry out repair work

·Operate heating and hot water supply plant

·Accept delivery of stores, materials and other goods

·Carry out routine and emergency cleaning as required

·Providing the school with effective site maintenance service

·Carrying out repair works

·Maintaining adequate supplies of maintenance and cleaning materials

·Accept delivery of stores and materials

·37 hours per week - Flexible hours

·Located in Chelmsford, Essex

PERSON SPECIFICATION

·Strong academic background

·NVQ qualification relating to caretaking desirable

·Previous experience working in an education setting

·Previous experience working in maintenance / repair work

·Committed to high standards and an attention to detail
