School Caretaker - Lewisham
Location: Lewisham
Hours: Flexible shifts, up to 6 hours per day
Pay: £17-£21 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to join a school in Lewisham. This is a varied and practical role where you'll play a key part in ensuring the school site is safe, clean and well-maintained for staff and pupils. Working hours will vary, with shifts of up to 6 hours a day.

The Role:

• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs around the school site.

• Ensure the building and grounds are safe, secure and well presented.

• Support with site security including opening and locking up the school.

• Monitor stock and order cleaning/maintenance supplies when required.

• Liaise with staff, contractors and visitors in a professional manner.

• Respond promptly to any urgent issues on site.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a caretaker, site supervisor or facilities role is desirable.

• A practical and proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.

• Good communication and organisation skills.

• Ability to work flexibly across changing hours (max 6 hours per day).

• Reliability and commitment to maintaining high standards across the school site.
