In their recent Ofsted Inspection, the review of the effectiveness of Services for children in need of help and protection, children looked after, care leavers and the LSCB this Local Authority was judged to be 'Good'.

The 'Child Protection and Assessment' service is a fascinating and fast-paced place to practice social work. You will be undertaking assessments and S47 inquiries, doing direct work with children, and taking cases to initial child protection conferences and court. No two days are the same and you will quickly develop a vast repertoire of skills that will enhance your practice. You will be on duty just one week out of six, meaning that you will have the time you need to deliver high-quality work and move cases on. Your caseload will be manageable. You will be part of a stable, high-performing team which has strong morale and opportunities to develop through training and co-working.
