Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work within a Fostering Team for a Local Authority based in West London.

Job Purpose
An opportunity has arisen in the Fostering Team for a social worker to support and supervise foster carers, undertake recruitment activities, Form F assessments and the ongoing training of foster carers in the borough. Social workers will work collaboratively with professionals from other services to ensure smooth transitions, prevent placement breakdowns and ensure the needs of looked after children are met. This is an exciting position which is at the forefront of our recruitment strategy to increase and retain our number and range of foster carers. You will need to have a good working knowledge of relevant child care legislation and be familiar with the Fostering Services Regulations 2011 and associated National Minimum Standards for foster care. You will have excellent assessment and analytically skills and be able to produce comprehensive reports for the Fostering Panel. You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills including a proficiency in I.T. skills.

About you

• You should hold a recognised social work qualification, Social Work Degree or equivalent, be HCPC registered
• Have a current enhanced DBS
• Full compliance required
