Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work within an Adults Locality Team for a Local Authority based in South London.

Job Purpose

The Adults locality team provides a social work service to all adults living within the area whether they have physical disabilities, age related disability or mental health difficulties. We have a duty system which covers the initial crisis intervention and screening of referrals, working intensively to resolve issues effectively at source in a strengths based manner, utilising community networks and resources where possible. The team also undertake eligibility assessments, support planning, safeguarding enquiries, and long term professional support where appropriate. There is multi-disciplinary working with health completing NHS Continuing Health care assessments, in addition to working alongside District Nurses and GP's.

We are looking for a social worker with a range of experience within adult social care working with adults with disabilities, older people and people with mental health needs and thrive on working in a fast paced environment. You should be adept at working in a fast past environment, responding to crisis and incoming duty work. It is essential that you have a strong ethos of working in a person centred and strengths based way. There is a wide range of work involved in our team which makes this post interesting and varied.

• Experience of working with Adults with disabilities, older people and mental health
• HCPC registered
• Enhanced DBS
• Full compliance required
