Job description

Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and a Senior Social Work to work within an Adult Team within a Local Authority based in South London.

Job Purpose of the Qualified Social Worker

  • Responsible for assessments, care and support planning and reviewing support plans for adults who require social services within the Borough in accordance with the council's policies and procedures related to eligibility and assessment.
  • The post holder will be responsible for managing various case work/ referrals including complex ones ensuring that wellbeing and independence is consistently promoted and reflected in carrying out all duties and responsibilities.
  • The post holder will be expected to carry out duties in a consistent professional manner with appropriate knowledge, emotional intelligence, analytical skills and authority to work holistically within all professional relationships with the confidence to confront challenging and complex social and family situations, drawing on research evidence, community resources and the professional contribution of health, housing and other partner agencies in order to safeguard and promote people's wellbeing.

Job Purpose of the Senior Social Worker

  • Responsible for undertaking complex assessments, care and support planning and reviewing support plans for adults who require adult social services within the Borough in accordance with the council's policies and procedures related to eligibility and assessment.
  • The post holder will be responsible for managing complex caseload and offering expert opinion within the council and to others, ensuring that wellbeing and independence is consistently promoted and reflected in carrying out all duties and responsibilities.
  • The post holder will be expected to conduct themselves in a consistent professional manner modelling good practice, setting expectations for others and mentor newly qualified social workers. The post holder will be expected to provide professional knowledge and expertise and work jointly with health, housing and other partner agencies in order to safeguard and promote people's wellbeing and independence.
