What does the job consist of?

An Outstanding OFTSED rated Southwark primary school is looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant / SEN TA to join their team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the pupil's parents, supporting with parent evenings, keeping on top of their behavioural patterns and ensuring good work is carried out at school and continued in the home. This would be an ideal role for Psychology graduate who is working towards an MSc and research projects or to pursue a career working with young individuals.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you must have a natural aptitude for behaviour management and good interpersonal skills as well as a very enthusiastic and positive manner. You must be able to have a level of resilience, have a good sense of humour, be able to build rapport easily and will ideally have experience working with students who have Autism, SLD, PMLD or Behavioural Issues.

Experience within a similar role is ideal however, not essential. This is ideal for Psychology graduates or even students in their final year of studies.
