Project Support Officer

Remedy Recruitment are currently working with a Local Authority and are currently seeking an experienced Project Support Officer to work within a busy housing team.

**Salary- Negotiable**

**Start- ASAP**

Main responsibilities:

  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to inform project opportunities and support business cases for change. Design and undertake research work, using a variety of techniques including structured interviews with senior staff; interactive workshops with relevant stakeholders; surveys and questionnaires; internet research; data analysis; and benchmarking work with other Councils, Partners and private organisations.
  • Design and maintain an effective system for the management of project information; establish and manage change control processes; and ensure that relevant information is available to all stakeholders. Update project plans; business cases; risk and issues logs; highlight reports; contact logs; etc. as required. Process any invoices associated with the projects and update relevant financial monitoring documents.
  • Develop productive working relationships with project stakeholders and the wider Council project community. Arrange, attend and document project meetings and events as required and support the programme/ project manager to manage the project team (e.g. chasing outstanding work).
  • Provide technical project management support for the project manager and wider project team - e.g. tools and techniques for planning, scheduling, estimating, analysis, modelling
  • Alert the project/ programme manager to risks and issues and make recommendations for their effective mitigation/ resolution.
  • Design the criteria and approach for assessing the success of delivering intended project outputs. On the completion of projects manage this assessment and feed lessons learnt back into the project community.
  • Draft high quality internal and external project communications. Respond to stakeholder queries as required. Support consultation briefings and workshops.
