Pre-Court and Prevention Case Officer. 
Work as part of the YOU case management system with a case load of young offenders and those on the periphery of offending. 
Must be an experienced case manager with experience completing Asset Assessments, ROSH, Risk Management plans, Vulnerability Management plans and preferably ASSET Plus trained. 
Candidates must be competent in managing a mixed case load as many of our Pre-Court cases are deemed as high risk. Candidate must be able to maintain accurate and contemporaneous records of all activities and in accordance with target objectives and national standards. 
To do direct one to one and group work with young people age 8 to 18 who may display difficult, challenging and aggressive behaviour. 
To undertake all duties in relation to the provision of assessment, supervision and case management regarding all matters relating to young people entering the Youth Justice System in accordance with Local and National Standards.

The ability to carry out detailed assessments, [interviewing YFSS clients and their parents] and writing high quality detailed reports regarding suitable intervention plans for these clients. Work individually or, when appropriate, with colleagues, to deliver high quality evidence based individual and group work interventions to young people who may display challenging, high risk, often angry and aggressive behaviour, that challenge and change their behaviour. To deliver these in the YFSS buildings, care homes, schools and other community venues or in the client's homes.

Must have experience of working with young people aged 8 - 17 who have either offended or being at risk of becoming involved in criminal activity. This includes group work and one to one work. 

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and competencies:
*** Educated to a very good level with qualifications that demonstrate a commitment to continued personal and professional development with good Maths and English skills

*** Good level of written and verbal communication ability and good IT skills

*** A very good knowledge and understanding of working with and supporting people with demonstrable experience of working with children and young people aged 8 to 19 who display criminal, angry, difficult, challenging and aggressive behaviour.
