Subject: Teaching Assistant PMLD

I am currently seeking an experienced Teaching assistant who will require previous experience in PMLD and personal care and a nurturing approach to behaviour management. The school is situated in Loughton and the role is to start ASAP This is a day to day role.

• Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills
• A genuine passion for education.
• A non-judgmental and empathic approach
• Current DBS
• Be available to interview immediately

Teaching Assistant Specification: 
The successful Teaching Assistant will have excellent classroom management with a commitment to fulfilling the needs of pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional or learning difficulties, and social communication difficulties. You will have the desire to create a culture of learning, where children are happy, enthusiastic, motivated and ambitious. Ensuring that the classroom is a positive and stimulating learning environment.

About the Teaching Role: 
In this Teaching Assistant position, you will be working with challenging behaviour and therefore be strong and adaptable with your teaching approach. Reconnecting them with education so they can make progress in becoming successful adults. You will be with children from ages 3-19 years old in wheelchairs.
