Teaching Assistant- PMLD - Primary School - April 2018

Teaching Assistant required for a primary school in Southwark, South East London to work 1:1 with a PMLD boy in KS2 to start in April 2018.

** Teaching Assistant - PMLD

** Teaching Assistant role until the end of the academic year - Southwark, South East London

** 1:1 role with PMLD boy in KS2

** Teaching Assistant with a passion for working with children with complex learning difficulties

** Teaching Assistant working closely with class teacher- Great opportunity for recent graduate looking to become a teacher in the future.

** Would also suit experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with experience of working with SLD/PMLD children aged 5-11

** Previous SEN training a bonus such as Makaton, PECs, TeamTeach, Elklan

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join a very successful school and a highly skilled staff team for a temporary role starting in April 2018.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have previous experience working with children, young people or adults with complex learning difficulties, either within an educational or care environment, and have a passion for working with these kind of needs. The role would suit a recent graduate with relevant experience and potentially looking to train to be an SEN Teacher in the future. Equally it would suit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with relevant training and now looking for a temporary role working with PMLD.

Please be aware that as a Teaching Assistant at this primary school you must be willing and able to meet the childs educational and medical needs. There is wide-ranging contribution from the multidisciplinary team including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, as well as a highly experienced team of SEN teachers.
