SEND Teacher - September 2018 Start - Lambeth, South West London

Summary

Remedy Education are currently looking for an enthusiastic and fully committed qualified PMLD Teacher / SEN Teacher for a prestigious special secondary school located in Lambeth to start in September 2018 on a long-term basis to begin. The successful candidate will be teaching a small group of students with special educational needs.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching SEND children, particularly with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) / ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), complex needs and PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties). Due to the nature of the students, a patient, caring and compassionate approach is needed. We are looking for newly qualified teachers or those with more experience. Qualified teachers with an interest in moving into SEND are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Recent experience and a genuine passion for teaching SEND students are desirable. Ideally, you will have experience using PECS and Makaton. All applicants will need to hold a current enhanced DBS and be fully compliant to work in the UK. To apply for a teaching position holding UK QTS is essential.
