Our client is looking for a proactive and confident individual to join the Placements Team.

You will need experience of working in a busy environment, at times dealing with emergencies so the ability to work within a sense of urgency and multi-tasking is required. The ability to work autonomously and use your own initiative to make placement matches working with the children's social worker to safeguard children by placing them either into foster care, residential children homes or semi-independent provision is essential.

You will need excellent communication and negotiation skills, either on the phone or in meetings, working with social workers and other professionals alongside external providers such as children's homes, fostering agencies to secure the best possible placements that will meet the child's needs.

You will need to be IT proficient with experience in either Google docs or Microsoft packages. Knowledge of database system such as Mosaic or Framework I would be desirable.

Good assessment skills would be desirable as would experience of commissioning or having worked in a similar role previously.
