Supervising Social Worker, Fostering Team, Southend, £29,909 - £36,153 pa

If you have substantial fostering experience and are looking for your next permanent role, this could be perfect for you.

You will join an established Fostering Service is a busy, friendly and supportive team that work alongside mainstream childcare teams.

This role offers the opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and skills of fostering and to be creative in your work within the community.

You will have regular formal supervision as well as access to informal support and guidance from colleague supervising social workers.

Main responsibilities include:

  • To recruit, train, assess, supervise and support Foster Carers in their role of looking after children and young people.
  • Ensure the highest professional standards and a good overall knowledge of relevant children's and fostering legislation, regulations and practice methods.

Essential requirements:

  • A social work qualification (degree in social work, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent recognised social work qualification
  • Experience of working with foster carers
  • Good interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Valid driving licence and car available for business use
