Job description

SEN Midday Meal Supervisor

A SEN school in Newham has an immediate need for SEN Midday Meal Supervisors to work with children with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and MLD Mild Learning Difficulties. The school prides itself on its ability to engage with pupils to ensure that each pupil makes progress in learning and personal independence as they approach further education.

You will have experience working with children and young people with a range of additional needs including but not limited to behavioural needs including ASD, Speech & Language and associated additional learning needs. Applicants with experience of working in Special Education Needs Schools or with a specialism in SEND pupils would be ideal. The school is especially interested to receive applications from those with Team Teach' training although this is not a necessity. You will need to be flexible, have enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work with small groups and differentiate well.

Due to the nature of the students the school are looking for a candidate that can commit to working with them for the rest of this year and the next academic year. You will be working 5 days a week during normal school hours.
