Maths Teacher - SEMH/SEBD - SEN School / Alternative Provision - Enfield - January 2018 Start

A newly formed class within an established SEN school is looking for a confident SEMH/SEBD- Maths Teacher to join their expanding learning provision in January 2018.

This role will be teaching Maths up to GCSE in classes of no more than 8 - 10 students on a full-time basis who are on track to achieve GCSE grades D-E with the possibility of one student on track to achieve GCSE grade of C.

The School:

My client are a Specialist Sports College looking to hire a Maths Teacher to start a new role in January 2018. They have recently taken over an alternative provision and have formed a new class within this new SEMH/EBD provision. The school are warm, welcoming and genuinely caring, they provide 'Learning for Life' for pupils aged 4 - 19 with special educational needs. The school believe that to truly flourish children must feel valued, the focus on what each child can achieve and celebrate their successes.

This newly formed SEMH alternative learning provision is found in Enfield and is a creative and supportive learning environment that is the prides itself on inclusive learning for all. The unit is part of their SEN School that teaches students between the ages of 4-19 and also has a "learning for life centre" that helps young adults with special needs find apprenticeships and job placements in the working world. The school have a high degree of expertise in the education of pupils with a wide range of learning abilities and special educational needs, including ADHD, ASD.

The school are seeking a SEMH/SEBD- Maths Teacher wo can respond to problems in a professional way, has a passion for learning as an outstanding teacher and who has an understanding of different teaching methods to support progress of students with learning difficulties.

The school are looking for a confident SEMH/SEBD- Maths Teacher who has specialist knowledge and training in teaching learners who struggle in any social or learning environment. You must be an experienced SEMH/SEBD- Maths Teacher who has QTS and experience of supporting and teaching pupils who have bee excluded from mainstream education and who have social, emotional and mental health issues.
