Manual Handling & Hoist Trained Teaching Assistant - Waltham Forest, East London

A leading special needs school in the London borough of Waltham Forest has recently increased its student population and has plans to increase further by the start of the new year when they also plan to be moving in to the newly built state of the art school. To cope with the increasing numbers and high demand of required support at the school experienced and dedicated teaching assistants are needed.

The ideal candidate

• Experience in manual handling and hoisting
• Good sense of humour
• Ability to create and maintain relationships
• Excellent understanding of special education needs, in particular PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties).
• Team Teach trained
• Makaton and PEC's experience

The ideal candidate will have an enhanced DBS and be available immediately for a full-time long term role.
