Person Specification

This post requires a career-minded graduate who has already held a school-based position and achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree. The school wants to recruit PMLD Teaching Assistant who has a genuine desire to work within special education supporting children with a range of profound learning needs and has a caring and approachable attitude. The right PMLD Teaching Assistant will possess a passion for SEN education and able is able form positive relationships with pupils and teachers utilising your excellent communication skills.

About the Role

As a PMLD Teaching Assistant you will be working with a range of special educational needs students to ensure their sensory, physical and educational progression is supported. Part of your role as a PMLD Teaching Assistant your role will involve you working closely, on an individual basis, with a Year 3 girl who has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Day-to-day, you will be helping her reach her learning goals and helping her build life skills that are in line with her individual capacity.
