An 'Good' Ofsted rated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Lambeth, South East London is looking for a Male SEN Teaching assistant to work with a range of needs from: Autism (ASC), ADHD, PMLD and a range of behaviour issues. This role will also involve you supervising the boys changing room during PE and some break times, hence the need for a male SEN Teaching Assistant.

This SEN School has an excellent support team, including Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists, who are committed to ensuring the pupils get the most from their education.

If you are a graduate with a strong academic background and, ideally, some experience of working in SEN, then this is the perfect role for you.

Trial Days are being held ASAP for an immediate start;

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Male Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - KS1 and KS2
• Focus on supporting children with: Autism (ASD), ADHD and a range of behaviour issues
• Working closely with the Class Teacher and developing your skills alongside other education specialist professionals
• ASAP start, Long term
• £75-£85 per day, depending on experience
• Located in Lambeth, South East London

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Must have a degree from a reputable University required (Psychology or related)
• Previous SEN experience is desirable, but not essential - PMLD experience would be perfect!
• Must be resilient, compassionate and highly-reliable
• Strong passion for SEN is required.
