PMLD Teaching Assistant

For this PMLD Teaching Assistant role you will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with a young boy with Cerebral Palsy. You will be assisting him with his lessons, during playtime and with his personal care. During the day he will be moving around with support from his crutches, but as the day goes on and his energy levels deteriorate he will then need to be put into his wheelchair, where he will be more comfortable and can carry on with his day. The ideal PMLD Teaching Assistant for this role will need to have had previous experience in a similar setting and have a patient and gentle nature.

PMLD School

This PMLD School is based in the London borough of Lambeth, they cater for students aged between 19-25 years with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. They currently have 80 students on role and in their last Ofsted, they were reviewed as 'OUTSTANDING' in all areas.
