PMLD Support Worker - School Setting - Croydon - Long Term - September

Remedy are looking for a male PMLD support working who can support PMLD students in a school based in Croydon.

Do you have any experience working with SEN (special education needs)? At Remedy Education we are looking for support workers passionate about improving the lives of young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

• PMLD Teaching Assistant
• Croydon
• £80- £90 per day
• Long Term/Interim, Full-Time position starting September 2018!!

The students you will be supporting may have the below:

• Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties
• ASD (autistic spectrum disorder)
• VI (visual impairment)
• Early years
• SLD (severe learning difficulties)
• Cerebral Palsy
• Down Syndrome

Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will be an able graduate who has experience supporting SEN children (specifically Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree. You will arrive with a sensitive and empathetic nature and the ability to deal with challenging situations calmly and effectively. This vacancy is open to those who have an inspiring personality and the right qualities to become the student's role model. You will be a passionate individual who can empathise with your pupils and adapt to the needs of SEN pupils.

About the PMLD Teaching Assistant Role:
This PMLD Teaching Assistant position involves supporting the development of secondary aged students who have PMLD on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. You will have the opportunity to pursue CPD courses and the SLT and Head at the school will be on hand to support and guide you whenever required.
