Person Specification for PMLD Support Worker

The successful PMLD Support Worker will be a resilient graduate who has already held a paid or volunteer role where you supported SEN children and a strong academic record with a 2:2 or above in their chosen discipline. The ideal individual should be able to highlight their desire to succeed and show good communication skills. The perfect candidate will be able to Show a clear and determined focus to inclusion and SEND. You must have a nurturing, caring manner and the ability to overcome challenging situations.

About the Role for PMLD Support Worker

As PMLD Support Worker, will have the responsibility of keeping the pupils motivated even when they are struggling to overcome their special educational needs and fully understand the lessons. Your role as PMLD Support Worker will include assisting with the planning, preparation of lessons. You will be offering 1:1 pastoral support and working with a teacher in a class with no more than 7 pupils.
