Experienced Learning Mentor Required

Are you an experienced Learning Mentor looking for a new challenge within an 'Outstanding' primary school based in Greenwich?

Remedy Education are looking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Learning Mentor. We are looking for a vibrant Learning Mentor with knowledge and experience of working with attachment disorders and challenging behaviour, with the ability to build strong rapport with students.

Located in Greenwich, this primary school is accessible by good transport links and has free parking available. The school is a larger than average sized primary school, and is graded as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

Specialist Team Teach or Thrive Approach training is highly desirable. This opportunity would be well suited to a Sport Graduate or an experienced Residential Support Worker with experience of working with challenging behaviour.


Contract Details:

  • Location - Greenwich, South East London
  • Position - Learning mentor/ SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Day to day bookings, with the potential for extension depending on schools
  • End date (if applicable) - N/A
  • Contract type - Temporary (Possible temp to perm)
  • Full time/part time - full time depending on schools' needs
  • Pay - £75 - £90 per day

Role

  • Supporting a Year 5 child with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis.
  • The ideal candidate will support the pupils learning, working regularly outside of the classroom environment.
  • Due to this pupil having a 'streetwise' attitude, Thrive Approach or Team Teach training is highly desirable. Along with any relevant teaching assistant experience.
