Learning Support Assistant | Havering, East London | Primary School | ASAP Start

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Havering, East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young learners, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, learning difficulties, and speech & language needs.

Position Details:

• Role: Learning Support Assistant
• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Havering, East London
• Salary: £95 - £115 per day
• Contract: Temp to Perm
• Setting: Primary School

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, helping them to engage in learning.
• Assist the class teacher in adapting activities and materials to meet students' needs.
• Encourage and support pupils in developing their confidence, independence, and social skills.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where necessary.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEN setting.
• Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as ASD, speech & language difficulties, or learning disabilities.
• A valid DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A passion for education and a positive, proactive approach to supporting young learners.
