Learning Support Assistant - South East London - ASAP Start - Long Term Opportunity - EBD/BESD - Challenging Behaviour - Mainstream School

ASAP start for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work within the SEN department of a secondary mainstream school in South East London for long term assignment that will run for the whole academic year.

The role will involve working 1:1 and doing small group intervention work with 11-16 students both within the SEN department of the school and in class. They are mostly able students but have problems concentrating in class and engaging in their work. We are looking for a strong LSA with previous experience working with secondary learners with challenging the behaviour to join the SEN team starting ASAP.

The school is based in the London borough of Lewisham. As a Learning Support Assistant within the SEN department, you will be join an enthusiastic team that is well led by a strong coordinator.

For this Learning Support role you should have previous experience working in a secondary school doing 1:1 or group work with students presenting with challenging behaviour. You should be a self-assured individual who likes working as part of a team.
