KS2 Intervention Teaching Assistant Specification:

For this post, you must be an enthusiastic, personable and intelligent graduate who has a genuine passion for helping those with additional needs academically to they can reach their full potential and ensure the transition into secondary school is easier. To be successful in this role you will need to be an effective communicator and work well on your own as well as in a team. The school want to meet graduate who can inspire those around them and evidence a desire to contribute in extra-curricular activities.

About the KS2 Intervention Teaching Assistant:

In this KS2 Teaching Assistant position you will be supporting year 6 students with their work in small groups and run homework clubs. Responsibilities will include developing your learners understanding of additional work such as homework, how to plan their evenings efficiently. you will work alongside the current Year 6 teacher to help students reach their full potential. In general, you will be learning the ropes from a supportive SLT who will be on hand to help you settle into the role and school. You will be considered crucial to pre-lesson preparation and your ideas will be vital for the development of new lessons plans and work schemes.
