Intervention Officer- East London.

Remedy Recruitment are currently working with a local authority and are seeking an Intervention Officer to work within a busy social care team.

The successful candidate will require the following-

The post is for an Intervention Officer which is essentially an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) post working with residents in the Local Authority aged 16+ experiencing DV. This is NOT an adults social care or children's social care post but will work across both services.

The candidate should have an IDVA qualification or be a qualified SW registered with the HCPC and have relevant DV experience or have probation/police experience within DV.

The work will be around providing duty phone/walk in cover, risk assessment and support around DV including referrals to housing/refuge/counselling and women's groups; liaising with relevant professionals, support around court processes and legal options/orders.
