Job description

  1. Support the development and implementation of Achieving for Children's performance management systems, to ensure the organisation has the information and intelligence it needs to deliver relevant and responsive children's services.
  1. Lead on the analysis and evaluation of business processes and systems and make clear recommendations for improvement to maximise operational effectiveness, efficiency and productivity.
  1. Contribute to the development of effective working relationships between individual service areas and the business unit to understand each service's performance information needs and requirements.
  1. Contribute to the development the organisation's central data repository to ensure that there is a complete and up-to-date suite of statutory and locally-determined performance indicators that support the management of children's services, improvement planning, statutory reporting and contractual compliance.
  1. Take responsibility for data quality and validation, and manage the reporting of statutory performance indicators, locally-determined performance indicators, and contractual compliance indicators.
  1. Maintain relationships with partner agencies to create and share performance information and develop intelligence about unmet needs, future demands and service effectiveness; this includes coordinating performance information for key partnership boards such as the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) and Corporate Parenting Group.
  1. Actively support local Performance Boards to ensure there is robust internal scrutiny of performance information and quality assurance activity, and appropriate actions are identified and taken to improve performance.
