Income Collection Manager

Remedy Recruitment are currently working with a local authority within London and are seeking an experienced Income Collection Manager.

**Salary- £27 Per Hour**

**Full Time**

**Start- ASAP**

Main duties and responsibilities-

  • To have lead responsibility for the income collection function of Adult social Care across the Tri-Borough authorities.
  • To manage the team carrying the income collection functions.
  • To ensure high quality services, including the provision of clear and accurate information, are provided to service users and their representatives.
  • To provide advice and support to the Income Collection Team regarding charging issues and pursuance of debts.
  • To ensure performance data for income collection activities is collected and monitored on a regular basis. This will enable appropriate benchmarking against other comparable services.
  • To respond to complaints regarding charging and debt collection and undertaking investigations where necessary in line with the Councils' complaints procedures.
  • To ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are in place for the collection of income due from charging for adult social care, including sensitive and effective recovery processes where necessary.

Work experience

  • Considerable experience of successfully contributing to an efficient and accurate Accounts Receivable finance function, understanding the end to end AR process including debt recovery, clearing suspense accounts for unallocated income, resolving customer account queries, contributing to opportunities to demonstrate best practice.
  • Experience of supporting a significant organisational function or service in a large multi-disciplined organisation with comparable scope, budgets and resources.
  • Some experience in financial management in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable including debt management processing and practices and sound knowledge of finance system operations, governance and controls.
  • Some understanding of financial planning, budget setting, monitoring and closing of accounts.
  • Effective relationship and stakeholder management skills and skilled in written and verbal communication to various audiences.
