Housing Allocations Officer
Job description
Remedy Recruitment Group are looking for a Housing Allocations Officer for a Local Authority in West London.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Housing Allocation Manager, the post-holder will be an integral part of the Allocations Team and will be focusing on ensuring efficient allocation of council properties and fulfilling nomination agreements with housing associations and RSL's.
The successful post-holder will deliver a supportive and customer focused service, advising customers and responding to queries concerning housing allocations.
The appointed post holder will be expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of the Council's Scheme of Allocation, as implemented in April 2013. You will be expected to play a pivotal role in delivering the Council's corporate target of reducing turnaround time of void properties.
Experience in Northgate's I-world system and the MS suite are essential together with a housing background and an understanding of the issues faced by those in housing need.
The appointed post holder will be expected to demonstrate experience of working in a similar environment, allocating accommodation to households in line with Allocation Schemes and Local Lettings Plans.
