HLTA - Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Enfield, North London

Are you an confident experienced/qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to expand your knowledge and use your class room expertise in a new role?

Are you a self-assured and abled Teaching Assistant who fully understands General and SEN teaching practices?

Do you have an excellent working knowledge of PECS, Makaton or any other forms of nonverbal forms of communication.

Based in Enfield, this ethnically diverse school is an outstanding and productive learning environment who are looking for a self-assured HLTA to join their staff.

This HLTA post requires an intelligent, practical, skilled candidate who has extensive experience supporting all types of learners with experience of working alongside students who have barriers to their learning such as ASD, ADHH, MLD, SLD and those with social and emotional difficulties.

The school are hoping for an HLTA who is able to display their passion for education whilst having a caring approach to best support pupils both academically and pastorally. The right HLTA will have good listening skills and a true understanding of general studies. You will possess strong communication skills and boundless enthusiasm.

In this HLTA post you will be assisting class teachers within the experiences and qualifications will be most relevant. As HLTA you will be expected to take the lead on planning and delivering lessons to groups and working one to one when needed. In general, you will be establishing trusting and long-lasting relationships with certain pupils to ensure consistency in their environment.
