Health & Safety Officer
Health & Safety Officer required for a Local Authorirty to ensure that all operations managed and delivered by BTS (Client) are safe and in accordance with all relevant legislation. To identify, assess and advise on impending legislation to ensure that the business is fully prepared for any changing requirement before it becomes mandatory.
Provide advice and support to the Housing Asset Manager and to the Building & Technical Senior Management Team on health & safety and specifically to:
Act as Health & Safety Officer for all directly delivered and outsourced works, reviewing health and safety policies are in line with the business needs of the services, advising and assisting them in the development of practical risk assessments when required.
Advise on relevant provisions of health & safety legislation, in accordance with guidelines, codes of practice, advice notes and Council policy.
Act as the Principle Designer under CDM Regulations where required.
Offer advice, training and guidance to staff, tenants, leaseholders and contractors as required on all relevant aspects of health & safety.
