Graduate requirements

  • B/C grade in GSCE Maths, Science and English
  • Strong A levels
  • 2:1 in chosen degree (Social Science preferred)
  • A genuine aspiration to want to work with SEN/ Mental Health is the most important element!

About the SEMH Teaching Assistant Role

  • Working with a range of SEN children, mainly 1:1. Autism, EBD and Mental Health, ideal staging for SEMH Teaching Assistant
  • Previous experience in similar roles to SEMH Teaching Assistant would be an advantage yet not essential
  • Main role is as a SEMH Teaching Assistant, could potentially be some mainstream Teaching Assistant work to give you the full range of experience!
