Graduate Teaching Assistants needed for a large, modern primary school in South East London, Southwark.

Position to start in September 2019

We are currently seeking a Graduate level Teaching Assistant who is passionate about working with children and being part of a supportive team. This graduate level position is perfect for a career minded - team player, who is ready to build a platform for themselves to progress. You get a guaranteed solid year (or more) of experience in a professional environment and a chance to become part of a great school. With this position you can really set yourself up for the future - even better so if you want to train as a teacher or go down the therapeutic/educational route.

You will be led by a team that were in your position once before and you will be working alongside other graduate level TA's. The school is a large primary school located in Southwark, South East London.

You MUST be a graduate and ideally have ambitions to go on to teacher training in the future.

During the first few weeks you will be supporting the class Teacher as a Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include:

** Classroom management
** Behaviour management
** Supervising pupils during class based and extra-curricular activities
** Supporting the school's ethos and helping to achieve its aims

After this, once you are acquainted with the class, you will be given more responsibilities in the areas you feel most comfortable such as;

** Assisting during planning
** Extra-Curricular involvement

** Leading 1:1 and group interventions

** Undertaking CPD courses and training

You will be starting off as a Teaching Assistant and given the chance to apply for the schools teacher training program at the end of the academic year.
